PHYSICAL AND EXCITING PLAY IN WOMEN'S FOOTBALL Monday 1st July 2013
Play continued on Saturday night, June 28, in the ABFA Women’s Football League.
In the First encounter, Ottos Tigress were ferocious against Lady Bendals, mauling them 4—2. All goals were scored in the first half. Miska Davis struck in the 2nd, 12th and 13th minute, while Portia Davis netted in the 16th minute for the Tigress. For Lady Bendals, Britney Edwards and Jinelle Nash converted in the 4th and 35th minute, respectively.
In the Second game, Lady 5P’s and Defending Champions, Lady Sap played to an exciting but Nil all draw.
Although 5P’s produced numerous opportunities against Sap, who were short on players, it was to no avail. It was the brilliance of Dominique David in goal that saved the day for Sap from the onslaught of Kai Jacobs and Melissa Fletcher of 5P’s.
At the other end, Delka Alfred, the 5P’s custodian was in fine form to keep the likes of Sonja Henry of Sap from penetrating. Click here for all News and Specials for CPTSA Wings Sports Club
