WINGS FOOTBALL TEAM ADVANCES IN WARRIORS CUP Monday 27th August 2012
CPTSA Wings blew away Young Warriors 7—0, in the U-15 Division, on Saturday, August 25, as the contest for the Warriors Cup continued over the weekend.
Playing at the John Hughes grounds, Wings struck in the first 10 minutes from Brandon Reifer and later in the first half, Rasean Looby, who put two away, to finish the half 3—0. Almost demoralised, Young Warriors failed to stop the Wings flying another 4 in the second half.
In other results, Dennie Henry and Zavon Brown scored for either team for a Pares and Liberta 1—1 draw, also at John Hughes in the U-15 Division.
In the Senior Division, SeaView Farm defeated Swetes 2—1. Kenny Jacobs and Kenroy Telemarque scored one each for Farm. Meanwhile, Bullets shot 5 against John Hughes. Earlier, on August 24, at Johnsons, ShotGuns defeated Young Warriors 1— 0, while Celtics overcame 5P’s 2—1.
