REOPENINGS, EXTENDED HOURS, FOOD AND WINE MONTH AND MORE ON THIS WEEK

DINING & NIGHTLIFE

Come out to Coconut Grove this Thursday evening as they receive their first cases of 2013 Beaujolais Nouveau and present special plates for 2 for their guests, with a bottle of wine.

The Spirited Band gives another live performance this Friday night at Mad Mongoose, followed on Sunday by Sheik Karaoke. Remember to make reservations for their Annual All American Thanksgiving Dinner next Thursday 28th November. Dinner is from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm and features baked turkey, cornbread stuffing, mash with gravy and many more of the traditional trimmings, plus their famous Pumpkin and Pecan Pie.

Join the Antigua & Barbuda Search and Rescue crew as they host their Annual Fundraising Dinner this Saturday at the Piccolo Mondo at St James’ Club. Prosecco and Canapes start the evening at 6:00 pm, with dinner served at 7:15 pm. There will also be a silent auction during the evening to help raise further funds and price for the evening is EC$100 per person.

The Pillars Restaurant at Admiral's Inn has an action packed weekend once again, starting off with Get Sparkled Fridays, featuring wines bubbly and cocktails alongside their Tapas Menu. On Saturday they host a Thai Tasting Dinner, bringing a special menu inspired by flavours from Thailand, with special cocktails and live music by the Harbour Trio. Sunday Brunch continues with a newly introduced Bloody Mary Bar, where you can have them made and garnished to your preference. Guests for Sunday Brunch are treated to a boat trip to view the Pillar of Hercules as well, one of Antigua's unique and beautiful attractions! Be sure to reserve early also for their Thanksgiving Dinner next Thursday 28th November!

Abracadabra brings you their first costume party for the season - Rumble in the Jungle, taking place this Saturday, with a bottle of El Dorado 8 Year Old Rum going to the person in the best jungle costume. Mark the calendar for next week, when the Ministry of Sound World Tour 1 come to Abras on Saturday 30th November.

Try out Burger King’s newest menu addition – the French Fry Burger, available for EC$7 until Friday November 22nd and then for EC$8.50 after.

Big Banana’s BOGO Tuesdays continue now until the end of November, offering a free personal cheese pizza when you order any large pizza.

Go back stage into Cambusa Italian Restaurant’s kitchen as they prepare two traditional Italian dishes with their latest video. Also be sure to check out their new menu and wine list for the season and join them soon for an authentic and appetizing meal.

Look forward to Art at the Ridge’s Opening Season Art Show next Friday November 29th, featuring pieces by local artists like Katie McConnachie, Dina de Brozzi, Jan Farara, Glenroy Aaron and many more.

Celebrity Chef Chad Sarno will be coming to Antigua to host a health and wellness and plant-based cuisine seminar next month and is inviting  local hotel and restaurant chefs to take part at a cost of EC$200 each. The seminar takes place on Wednesday 11th December from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm at the Copper and Lumber Store Hotel.

RESTAURANT REOPENINGS & EXTENDED OPENING HOURS

Harmony Hall reopens this Sunday 24th November, offering lunch every day and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, and offering guests a ferry to offshore Island, Green Island. Be sure to reserve a table and join them for a delectable lunch in their beautiful hilltop location.

Starting on Monday 25th November, Sheer Rocks Restaurant, Bar and Lounge will open for lunch each weekday as well, except for Tuesdays. Weekday lunches will feature their Tapas Menu or their fixed menu, offering 3 courses or 2 courses and a glass of wine for EC$100. From then, they open from Wednesday – Monday serving lunch and dinner every day except for Sundays, when they host their Tapas Lunch until sunset. Don't forget Movember Sundays continue with their resident DJ De La Muginan aka Carlitto and EC$35 Movember El Dorado Cocktails, with EC$5 from each cocktail going to charity.

The Majestic Isle Casino is now open to the public, opening every day from 6:00 pm – 2:00 am Mondays through Fridays, then open from 2:00 pm – 2:00 am on Saturdays and Sundays. Come by for a drink at their bar, slots, table games, sports book and more.

Newest addition to the English Harbour area is Club Sushi, opening officially from Saturday 23rd November. They will open daily following that, offering their delectable Sushi menu from 11:00 am – 11:00 pm.

Hamilton’s Wine Bar & Bistro has extended their opening hours, now open Monday through Saturday, serving lunch and dinner. Come down to try out some of the fantastic new dishes on both menus along with great new wines.

Jacqui O’s Beach House is also open now, serving lunch from Tuesday to Sunday and opens from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm.

Look forward to the reopening of Yoga Antigua on December 3rd, offering more classes this season, including yoga and zumba for kids, various types of yoga and zumba for adults as well.

FOOD & WINE MONTH AT NONSUCH BAY RESORT

The highlight event of Food and Wine Month at Nonsuch Bay Resort is set for this Sunday 24th November, and is Winestock 2. Tickets cost EC$100 and covers wine talks by Liam Steevenson, a buffet lunch by the Caribbean Chef of the Year, cookery demonstrations, champagne, wine and rum tastings, blind tasting competition, live music and more.

Food and Wine Month continues with Wine Tastings and Tasting Menu Dinners throughout the month and you can see the full schedule of events here.

SPORT SHORTS

The CPTSA Wings Sports Club hosts their Annual Fitness Walk from Christ the King High School to Halcyon Cove Beach this Saturday at 4:30 am.

This weeks’ hash on Saturday starts from the old Belmont School of Business Building at 3:30 pm.

Prescription Blue continues until the end of December, featuring water-based exercise sessions with Mindful Movement every weekday. Join them to add something new to your fitness regime!

COMMUNITY

The Museum of Antigua & Barbuda will host a multimedia presentation on the History of the Antigua Sugar Locomotives and their Restoration this Saturday, starting at 7:00 pm.

The next EAG Monthly Meeting is taking place on Tuesday 26th November, upstairs the Museum on Long Street.
