WINE NIGHTS, LIVE MUSIC, REOPENINGS AND MORE ON THIS WEEK Wednesday 13th November 2013
DINING & NIGHTLIFE
Get an early start to the weekend at Big Banana in Redcliffe Quay this Thursday evening, with Asher Otto & Itchyfeet Band live on stage from 7:00 pm. They will host pizza and cocktail specials throughout the evening and don’t forget you can browse other stores open until 9:00 pm due to Twilight Thursdays.
Asher Otto & Itchyfeet will hit the stage again at Mad Mongoose on Friday, kicking off at 10:00 pm. On Sunday is Sheik Karaoke, followed by the 3 Cylinder band live on Tuesday night.
This weekend sees a few wine nights, starting off on Thursday with Le Bistro’s Wine Dinner, featuring fine wines and champagnes paired with French cuisine beyond compare.
The Larder hosts a wine tasting on Friday evening from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, of a selection of wines from Cellar No.8.
Also on Friday night is Cuvee Brydens Wines event, the Beni Di Batasiolo Wine Dinner at La Bussola Restaurant, starting at 6:30 pm. Indulge in a five-course dinner with wines perfectly paired with their specially crafted menu.
Daily Tapas at The Bay House Restaurant at Trade Winds Hotel starts today and continues every day, serving light bites from their Tapas Menu as you relax on their deck enjoying the ocean view.
You can also check out The Bay House Restaurant’s holiday function menu, available for any parties or functions you wish to host at their venue throughout the holiday season.
Admiral's Inn also has a great weekend lined up, starting off with Get Sparkled Fridays with their newly introduced Tapas Menu available all night. On Saturday, join them for a five-course tasting menu, optional wine pairing and live band and then on Sunday they host Sunday Brunch, and have now introduced a special treat for guests, a complimentary boat ride to view the Pillars of Hercules.
While Cloggy’s is still only open from Wednesday through Sunday, they are not short of dining specials. During the week you can join them for lunch and dinner each day, and Sunday is reserved for their Sunday Brunch, starting off at 11:00 am. Each evening they have a happy hour from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, with Tapas also available from 4:00 pm through to 9:30 pm, with sushi on offer each evening as well. Wednesday is Hot Curry Night with a choice of curries available each week, alongside their A La Carte menu, tapas and sushi. Also available Wednesday through Friday afternoons is the Workers lunch, offering a special dish each day for lunch for EC$25 with a drink, designed for those who want a quick lunch.
RESTAURANT REOPENINGS
This Thursday sees the reopening of Abracadabra Restaurant & Disco-Bar alongside the opening of their first art exhibit for the season, a collection from Jennifer Meranto, with wine and canapés for guests. Their opening weekend features DJ Quixx on the decks on Friday Night, followed on Saturday by Deejay Charlie playing reggae and Caribbean beats throughout the night.
Catherine’s Café is reopening in their new beachfront home this weekend, open all day on Sunday 17th November at Pigeon Beach. Following their opening they will open six days a week, from Wednesday to Monday with lunch and tapas until sunset, with dinner available on Wednesdays and Fridays only.
Look forward to Harmony Hall’s reopening, set for Sunday November 24th.
La Tartaruga is now open every day from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, offering lunch and refreshments to guests, beachfront on the beautiful Long Bay.

FOOD & WINE MONTH AT NONSUCH BAY RESORT
The second annual Food and Wine Month at Nonsuch Bay Resort started this week and continues throughout the month with wine tastings and dinners, plus the main event, Winestock 2 on November 24th. This Thursday is the first Wine Tasting with Caribbean Street Food, followed by the first Tasting Menu Dinner on Saturday, with another one set for Wednesday 20th.

PRESCRIPTION BLUE
Mindful Movement presents their latest fitness regime, Prescription Blue, offering water-based exercise sessions every week day until December 28th. Registration is done on site so no need to commit, just come out to whichever sessions suit you and your schedule most. Read all about the classes, locations and cost here.

EAG's Monthly Field Trip takes hikers to Sherwood Dam this Saturday, meeting at 6:30 am.
This Saturday is the Annual Charity Fun Golf Tournament, taking place at the Cedar Valley Golf Club.
SAILING
The 2013 Caribbean Dinghy Championships is set for this weekend, from Friday 15th – 17th at the Antigua Yacht Club.
Ondeck Antigua Sea School starts another maritime training course on Monday 18th November, offering the International Professional STCW 95 Basic Safety Training course to those interested.
COMMUNITY
The Antigua and Barbuda Chamber of Commerce and Industry is hosting their first Home Trade Show from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th November, giving the opportunity to the business community to exhibit their products and services. The Trade Show takes place at the Multi Purpose Centre in Perry Bay.
The Gracehill Moravian Church is hosting three nights of Revival Services from Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd November, starting at 7:00 pm each evening.
