Cafe Bambula
With Carnival ongoing, you can take a break from the jump up and jamming and have a tasty meal at various spots in town. Cafe Bambula will open on Carnival Monday and Tuesday for all day meal service starting in the morning and going until the evening for dinner. Be sure to reserve a table to avoid disappointment!
You can also escape the reveling to Redcliffe Quay and enjoy a meal and some wine at C & C Wine House, or tasty treats at Australian Homemade Ice Cream, or wonder along the boardwalk and chill at Heavenly Java 2 Go with a light meal and a hot java.
Other places to grab a delectable dish or a quick bite in St John's include Hemmingways Caribbean Cafe, Island B-Hive Sports Bar, Big Banana and Subway.

This Thursday is the Bartending Competition at Al Porto, where celebrity judges will pick the best drinks and winners for prizes like a weekend for two at Sugar Ridge, dinner for two and a bottle of Perfect Vodka. Guests are invited to come out to watch the competition and enjoy happy hour from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, followed by their all you can eat pasta buffet with their regular menu available also for dinner, accompanied by beautiful live music by Mackenzie Brown and Alex.
This Friday at Life on the Corner is Disco and Chinese Buffet Night, starting frrom 7:00 pm with Crispy Duck, Sweet and Sour Chicken Wings, Veggie Springs rolls, egg fried rice and so much more on the menu, including a kids menu and a small dinner menu as well. After chowing down, hit the dancefloor and have a good time to disco music.
Abracadabra is back in action until the end of August and in for a weekly session is local DJ Quixx who will run an open format with lots of mashups and remixes each Friday Night. Along with weekly DJ sessions and party weekends, they serve an enticing dinner menu each evening except for Sundays, featuring famous Italian dishes perfectly prepared for a sumptuous meal.
The Crow's Nest
The Crow’s Nest offers nightly specials on drinks, food and entertainment, like their weekly Ladies Night each Thursday, now featuring EC$8 Finlandia cocktails with an asian menu available, and music by a house DJ. On Fridays, enjoy Fish and Chips, and on Saturday, enjoy their weekly BBQ day, offering a 3-course BBQ meal with DJ Stiffler on the decks and EC$8 Finlandia Cocktails all night. Soul Food is served all day on Sundays, along with EC$8 Angostura 5 year old rum & LLB throughout. It’s Movie Madness each Monday evening, starting off with a family movie at 6:30 pm accompanied by a special kids menu, and a general movie at 8:30 pm. This Monday features ParaNorman and Olympus has Fallen respectfully and guests can enjoy 241 Fish & Turf with a bottle of wine for EC$125. Tuesdays are Seafood Nights and Wednesdays feature Tapas and Karaoke in the evening.
Also on this weekend at The Crow’s Nest is their Farmers Market & Local Crafts, inviting farmers and producers to come out and sell, and calling all visitors to check out locally made, fresh produce for purchase.

It’s a Hash weekend again and Hash #590 is taking place at 4:00 pm this Saturday, starting off at the corner of Utility Drive and the road to Barnes Hill. After the hash there will be a presentation for the J’ouvert troupe to answer any questions there may be.
