Well, the good news is, it was a blast (and once again over too soon). The better news, it’s not done yet. Much like the opening, the closing had to be postponed due to inclement weather – it’s the season for it, after all – but it’s meant for the first time ever, so consider yourself a piece of history, an extension of the season known as Carnival. Last word from the Carnival planners was that that last hurrah would come down this Saturday. This will replace the Carnival Tuesday parade of troupes and groups and the judging for band of the year and other titles that would normally take place on Carnival Monday. The parade moves off August 6th from the Multipurpose Centre, along Market, Newgate, Popeshead, St. John’s, and High streets into Carnival City (otherwise known as the Antigua Recreation Grounds)...
