NO FLY KITE ZONE Tuesday 18th March 2025
Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority Issues Kite-Flying Warning
As Easter approaches, the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority (ABAA) is reminding the public to avoid flying kites in restricted areas near the VC Bird International Airport.
While kite-flying is a popular tradition during this time, it poses a serious risk to aircraft during takeoff and landing. The no-fly zone includes Five Islands, parts of Cedar Grove, Piggotts, Osbourne, and areas surrounding the airport.
Authorities urge everyone to adhere to these restrictions to ensure aviation safety.
For guidance, refer to the official illustration provided by the ABAA.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Have a safe and enjoyable Easter!
