CHRISTMAS BARREL INITIATIVE Friday 15th November 2024
The Christmas Barrel Initiative and the Antigua and Barbuda Sales Tax (ABST) Reduction Weekend are set to kick off in just 15 days, bringing much-needed financial relief to consumers ahead of the 2025 holiday season. These highly anticipated initiatives aim to make the festive period more affordable and accessible for families across the nation.
The Christmas Barrel Initiative will run from December 1, 2024, to January 15, 2025. This initiative allows each household to import a standard-size shipping barrel or an E-container with items for personal use, such as clothing, foodstuff, and toiletries. However, there are restrictions on clothing: no more than seven pieces of the same type can be imported per household.

Fees:
10% Revenue Recovery Charge (RRC)
$10.00 USD processing and handling fee
