PROTOCOLS OF ACQUIRING A MARRIAGE LICENSE
Tuesday 12th January 2021

Article by Antigua News Room. In an effort to safeguard the staff, the general public and visitors to our island, against the spread of the dangerous infectious disease SARS COV-2 which causes COVID-19, the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety and Labour is pleased to introduce the following protocols that will apply to the process of acquiring a marriage license.

For locals and other visitors who have been on island for fourteen (14) days or longer

Please contact the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety and Labour on (268) 462-0017/9, or email: legalaffairs@ab.gov.ag to schedule an appointment for an interview with a Marriage Coordinator.

Group 2

For residents and visitors who are on island for a period of fourteen (14) days or less and who desire to obtain a Marriage License within that period:

Please contact the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety and Labour on (268) 462-0017/9 or email: legalaffairs@ab.gov.ag, to schedule a Zoom meeting for an interview with a Marriage Coordinator.

For couples, where one or both parties fall within Group 2, you will be given instructions to fax or scan and email the required documents to the Ministry of Legal Affairs, Public Safety and Labour, prior to the Zoom Meeting.
