Another great performance by our young sailors representing Antigua and Barbuda wonderfully in the recently concluded, 46th AON Youth Sailing World Championships in New Zealand.

Jules Mitchell, Rocco Falcone and Louis Bavay along with Coach Karl James, headed to Auckland, New Zealand for 5 days of racing over December 14 – 20, competing with over 380 sailors from 65 nations. Jules Mitchell sailed the Laser Radial class with final placing 31st out of 57 sailors – a terrific result! Rocco Falcone and Louis Bavay sailed in the 29er class, and with a few capsizes on high wind days, took 23rd of 25 teams. We are extremely proud of our young sailors taking on huge competitions such as these and coming home with such great results!

Keep looking out for fundraisers for our young sailors who are so keen to take us with them to the big stages of sailing and put Antigua and Barbuda on the map as so many local legends have before them. Stay tuned to Jules Mitchell’s fundraising Facebook page for his and our other young sailors next regatta.
