SAILING AROUND ANTIGUA – BLOG POST Monday 9th May 2016
The season is coming to a close in Antigua with the end of local regattas that attract international racing yachts, leaving wonderful calm oceans, unspoiled anchorages and dive spots for cruising yachts and crews to explore. Antigua's coastline and offshore islands offer endless spots to explore, plus impectable cruising conditions, proving Antigua to be a great sailing destination all year round.
Take a virtual tour of a few spots along Antigua’s coastline in this blog post from Distant Shores – The Sailing Adventure TV Series, dubbed ‘Sailing Around Antigua’.
In the post, Paul and Sheryl set sail aboard Distant Shores II starting from Falmouth Harbour and past Jolly Harbour and anchoring at Deep Bay. They also review some snorkeling done at Deep Bay, and explore Fort Barrington that sits above the Bay. The trip ended with anchorage at Bird Island, one of Antigua many offshore Islands, showing that there is so much to see while sailing in Antigua!
