VANISHING SAIL WINS CARIBBEAN SPIRIT AWARD Wednesday 23rd September 2015
Vanishing Sail, the recent documentary film written and directed by Alexis Andrews of Indian Creek Films, has won the highest honour at the 2015 Caribbean Tales International Film Festival in Toronto: "CARIBBEAN SPIRIT AWARD for BEST OVERALL FEATURE FILM: for a film that contributes to a deepening understanding of Caribbean culture and life."
The Vanishing Sail Facebook page reported:
‘Wow - Receiving this award is a massive compliment to all the people that contributed to the entire transmedia project that is Vanishing Sail . . . the award is a great encouragement not only to the filmmakers but also to the people of Windward, Carriacou who entrusted us with their stories. This film began with the passion to share something very special - and it now continues through our audience. A great BIG Thank you CTFF jury for recognizing our efforts!’
