So many people dream of sailing round the world, but few make their dream a reality. Recently 23 more yachts achieved their aim with the help of the Oyster World Rally.
When plans were put in place three years ago for the rally (no manufacturer had ever tried to stage such an event before), many considered it a bold and daunting prospect. But 25 yachts left Antigua in January 2013 and 23 of them sailed round the world – an incredible success rate, especially considering that the two yachts that didn’t finish were never planning to sail the whole route anyway."
