14TH ANNUAL MODEL BOAT REGATTA WAS HELD ON APRIL 11, 2011 Wednesday 20th April 2011

The 14th Annual Model Boat Regatta was held in Falmouth Harbour on the 11th of April, 2011 in front of Archie’s Fish House. The competition was fierce this year with hot boats such as John’s Smith’s “Numbers”, Vernon “Hambone” Harrigan’s, “With a Passion” and Steve Smith's “Combination” which was rumoured to have had either a canting keel or a high tech rudder added to make it more competitive.
Shawn Malone's “Cobra”, was also rumoured to have had a refit under the cloack of darkness and Andreas Richards' sloop “PJ11” had some surprises for the competition. Joseph “Queely” Bailey’s, “Sempfer Fi” was said to have had a totally redesigned mast and new sails from Australia. Joseph was hopefully that "Semper Fi" would return to the top this year.
With plenty of entertainment and a lot of beach activities and games it was a day of fun for everyone.
