ATLANTIC DASH ROWERS Monday 12th February 2024
It seems everyone is rowing across the Atlantic. Two teams are still heaving ho in the Atlantic Dash, both now over half-way across.
The crews have seen their mileage drop a bit over the last few days because of some unhelpful weather, but they are still making good progress, and the map shows what a long way they have already come
Check out their latest news.
THE BRIGHTSIDES
As they get closer to Antigua the team are having to deal with the heat and the calm conditions aren’t providing any breeze
They are looking after each other and making sure they are all staying hydrated.
They have been in to clean the hull again and, on a separate occasion, heard a pod of whales around the boat. Although too dark to see, they could smell them had heard the puff of their blowholes

ATLANTIC ROCKS
Phil, Dan, Wally and Binnsy have had some great wildlife encounters, a rare sighting of Manta Rays half the size of the boat! They have also taken some flying fish to the face and spotted a humpback whale and last night a marlin put on a display by jumping out of the water next to their boat!
Unfortunately they have lost access to their music, but they are keeping themselves entertained with a daily quiz
