RORC NELSON’S CUP INSHORE SERIES AND MORE YACHTING NEWS. Monday 13th February 2023
Boats big and small are gathering in English Harbour this week preparing for the RORC Caribbean 600 that tacks off on Valentine’s Day. This year, there is a whole series of races, giving those boats who are not up for 600 miles around the Caribbean a chance to take part. Inshore racing and an Antigua 360 will fire everyone up before the start of the 14th RORC on Monday 20th. Over 70 teams from 16 different countries are sailing in to take part in one of the most prestigious races in the world.
How do we follow that? Well, we congratulate Team Antigua from the NSA who won the Dinghy Championships and also from the NSA the the newly qualified RYA sailing instructors who worked so hard to get there.
Sailability goes from strength to strength, Bob & Sue Bailey working tirelessly to raise money and provide opportunities for more and more differently-abled people to sail the seas.
With the Jolly Harbour Valentine’s Regatta, full programme at the NSA, the kayaking club going strong, life on the waters of Antigua is bustling. Whatever you do, don’t get too carried away - remember to be an early bird and book before March 1st for the Classics Regatta in April, to qualify for your discount.
If you’re looking for a greater challenge, Team Dadli explorers will be rowing the Atlantic and need a team mate; is that you?
