A Cutting-Edge Campaign

A Homegrown Antiguan-Italian Campaign Launching into the Future of Sailing: Foiling!

69F Sailing is a circuit based on ingenuity, adaptability, skills, and tenacity, the 69F Sailing calendar is full of opportunities to showcase ones ability on the water. With events throughout the year across Europe and America, 69F Sailing also makes space for younger athletes with the Youth Foiling Gold Cup, a worldwide youth circuit for under 25's.

Team Antigua & Barbuda's Roster
Junella King - Flight Controller
Filippo Amonti - Mainsail Trimmer
Rocco Falcone - Skipper

An Overview
69F Sailing is on the forefront of the sailing world with cutting edge design elements that prepare each athlete for the future of sailing: foiling.

The Persico 69F is a prepreg carbon construction that guarantees a lightweight and high-quality build. Carbon, aluminum and steel moulds ensure that the hull, and all OD components, are identical. Each assembled boat and its parts come with compliance certificates that list checks carried out during every construction phase by QI Composites, a famed laboratory for non-destructive testing in the field of motorsport and sailing.

The team will be representing Antigua & Barbuda during this campaign and are poised to upset the current standings. As of now, they have an excellent team filled with talent and proven ability.

There are three positions onboard a Persico 69F, the skipper or helmsman, mainsheet trimmer, and flight controller.

Team Antigua & Barbuda have Antiguan sailor Junella King as flight controller, a true force to be reckoned with and an outstanding sailor. She is accomplished in ocean sailing and fleet racing and has proven herself to be an integral member of this fledgling team.

They have Italian sailor Filippo Amonti as mainsheet trimmer. Filippo is an extremely skilled sailor with plenty of experience onboard the Persico 69F. His knowledge and skillset is crucial to the success of this team.

Finally, they have Antiguan-Italian sailor Rocco Falcone on the helm. At his first ever 69F event he placed 3rd with Filippo in Puntaldia. His abilities have caught the attention of many key players in the sport and his aptitude for sailing will round out the team nicely.

This team is talented, passionate, and has significant momentum. The team will relocate to Sardinia this winter in order to participate in every 69F Sailing event scheduled for the 2022-2023 season and will represent Antigua & Barbuda and their sponsors at each regatta. The team is the only Caribbean team participating in this series and are ready to showcase the sailing talent Antigua & Barbuda continues to supply to the sailing world. Whether it's the America's Cup, SailGP, or 69F Sailing, Antigua & Barbuda continues to punch above its weight!
