ANTIGUANS FACE-OFF IN AMERICA’S CUP Friday 12th March 2021
A first in Antiguan history, two Antiguans battle head-to-head for the coveted America’s Cup. The two teams remaining in the 36th America’s Cup are the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team and the Emirates Team New Zealand. The Antiguans are Shannon Falcone, a Grinder for Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team, and Louis Sinclair, a Grinder for Emirates Team New Zealand.

The 36th America’s Cup began on 6th March, and Emirates Team New Zealand and Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team have battled their way to the final round, and currently stand at 2-2, with races scheduled daily until 16th March, subject to possible change. Whichever team wins – an Antiguan will be on the podium, lifting the prestigious America’s Cup Trophy among their team of elite sailors.
