TIGER TYSON AT THE YOUTH OLYMPICS
Thursday 18th October 2018

Tiger Tyson represented Antigua and Barbuda at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games over 6th – 18th October in Buenos Aires. For the first time, Antigua and Barbuda had a stake in the Kiteboarding discipline, as Tiger competed in the IKA Twin Tip Racing class.

After holding bronze place for the week, one bad race unfortunately cost Tiger the medal position. A one-point difference followed by an attempted catch-up – just shy by a few meters - regrettably pushed Tiger off the podium. While Tiger was poised and hopeful for a medal finish and is disappointed in the results, fans and onlookers in Antigua are immensely proud of Tiger’s performance in the Youth Olympics. Congratulations to Tiger!

As a young athlete, expect to see him again in upcoming competitions representing Antigua and Barbuda. Tiger intends to start Hydrofoil racing now to try for the next Olympic Games. Be sure to follow Tiger on Facebook for updates, and follow Tiger on Instagram @tiger__tyson.
