SPEND YOUR SUMMER SAILING OR LEARNING TO
Friday 25th June 2021

The NSA continues to offer a number of options for people who want to get onto the water whether for the first time or more experienced sailors who want a skills brush up or boat hire.

From Monday June 28th, RYA lessons will be running each weekday morning from 9.30am and afternoon from 2pm. RYA levels are 1-3, Seamanship Skills, Start Racing and Sailing with Spinnakers.

If you have no experience whatsoever you can start at Level 1 and work your way up, and can either do all of the courses straight through or take gaps as long as you like, between when you can head back to the school and take a dinghy out for a couple of hours to practice your skills. Each course is a total of 16 hours of sailing, so 3 to 3.5 hours daily and each course costs EC$550.

Once completed and all skills done, you will receive a log book and a certificate which is Internationally recognised.

Alternatively group casual lessons are available, which are for 1.5 hours each day Monday to Friday starting at 10am and 2:30pm and cost EC$200 for the week. Sign up for a week to get a great skills brush up or a taster to see if you like sailing. One on one instruction is available at EC$130 for one session or EC$325 for three lessons.

Separate Sailing Lessons for Women Only continue on Sundays at 10am, 12pm and 2pm. Saturday sailing continues for youths who wish to start learning to sail or improve. These classes are free to all youths in Government Schools.

Dinghy hire is available 7 days per week. The NSA has fleets of RS Zests, RS Fevas, RS Ventures, Lasers and Hansa 303’s available. Each session is for 2 hours and prices are EC$80 for a Zest or Hansa, and EC$125 for all of the other boats. A safety boat is on the water spotting sailors in case of capsize or difficulties.

Stand up Paddle Boats and Kayaks are also available 7 days per week and a monthly pass is available for daily use at EC$200. A great option for families who want to get fit together and get out on the water.

Masks must be worn while on property at all times off the water and life jackets must be worn when on the water at all times.

To sign up for any of the above courses, simply register at www.nationalsailingacademy.org/registration and select the option you require and they will take it from there.
