The slogan for Matthews’s Auto Parts 45- Mile Road Race was “heros will rise, stars will fall” Sunday’s race certainly represented the rise of a hero when a sophomore snatched the overall race.

Eddie Matthew of Matthew’s Auto Parts was on hand to make the presentation to the riders. Matthews was very pleased with the turn out and performance of the riders. Conroy Thomas walked away with cash prizes from both overall and B-class along with a complementary prize donated by the Rebel Racing Club.
