BUTLER PREPARING TO COMPETE IN VENEZUELA Wednesday 9th May 2012
Antigua and Barbuda National Sportswoman, Tamiko Butler is in Venezuela preparing to compete as part of a composite team to participate in 4 races over 2 weekends in the month of May.
According to the information provided, Venezuela is engaged in the organization of four qualifying races for the women's cycling map of the Olympic Games in London reported the spokesman for the Venezuelan Federation of Cycling, Jose Zabala.
The cities of San Carlos in Cojedes state; Guanare in Portuguese and Valencia in Carabobo will be hosting these four ladies, all provided at a distance of 80 kilometers.
Cyclists of Panama, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, United States, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis and the host country will participate in events that will take place on Saturday 12 in San Carlos, on Sunday 13 Guanare and 19 and 20 in Valencia.
Venezuela will compete with 40 riders representing the states of Carabobo, Tachira, Trujillo, Lara, Portuguesa, Cojedes, Aragua, Barinas and the Capital District.
According to the information, during races will be divided 500 points among the women participants for the ranking of the specialty.
At present, the Venezuelan team is ranked 30 of the classification and London. The individual route is expected to attend the 100 top ranked.
