CSA - AUGUST 2016 NEWSLETTER Monday 15th August 2016
Detailed planning is underway for the 2016 CSA Annual Conference which will kick off with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Antigua on Friday, October 21 and will move straight into the Regatta Organisers’ Conference for the duration of the weekend through Sunday, October 23.
As the conference has grown in size in recent years, the venue for 2016 will be Jolly Beach Resort in Jolly Harbour, Antigua. Elite Island Resorts has recently acquired management of the hotel and begun a complete upgrade of the property. With full conference facilities in place it will mean that separate private rooms will be available for each of the sessions taking place concurrently.
Over the past few years the Conference has evolved from what was primarily regatta organisers sharing ideas to hosting separate workshops and sessions where measurers, youth development advocates and other sailing professionals as well as regatta directors can network and discuss the opportunities and challenges involved in the sport of sailing and how they impact the region.
For the first time in 2016 emphasis will be put on encouraging all MNA's to attend the Conference which has become such an important event on the CSA annual calendar, to help further develop their regional networking opportunities. The CSA looks forward to working together with all Conference participants and other members to continue to achieve joint objectives.
To register please visit www.csaconference.org. The website includes all necessary information about registration and accommodation. To help us gauge interest in different areas of the Conference among other things we have created a survey that specifically asks for input on the Conference. We would appreciate if you would take a few minutes to complete the survey. For any other Conference inquiries please email vp@caribbean-sailing.com.
The conference registration opens, CDC, CSA survey and also read about the Olympic hopefuls, Caribbean Dinghy Championships and more here.
