CSA MONTHLY NEWSLETTER Wednesday 16th September 2015
Dear Members and friends,
As the European season comes to an end, all eyes begin to turn to the Caribbean as boats start making plans to come compete in 2016 in our regattas, both large and small.
During this quiet season the CSA is busy gearing up for our Annual Conference to be held in St. Maarten on the October 23-25 weekend. Please do check out our new website (http://csaconference.org) which explains what will be happening over the 3 day event. We would love as many members as possible to be a part of it, and with the help of Sailors for the Sea and their sponsorship, we might even be able to assist.
With the passing of tropical storm Erika, Dominica continues to be the focus for many of us in the islands. Hubert Winston, President of the Dominica Marine Association, has appealed for assistance from both the international and marine yachting communities. To find out more about how you can help them in these difficult times please click here.
I am now in route to my final race of the summer in Europe, the 52 Superseries event in Cascais, Portugal, where I will continue to liaise with the owners and sailors to promote our CSA and coming down to enjoy our Caribbean racing.
Best,
Peter Holmberg
President of the Caribbean Sailing Association
