The reSen. Williams also used the opportunity on the Good Morning Antigua Barbuda Show to launch another component of the Winston Williams Jr. Scholarship Award entitled the 'Continuing Education Programme' which seeks to provide one (1) year tuition scholarships for persons who have been unsuccessful in the the CXC, CSEC Examinations, particularly in English Language. The Senator explained that many students are successful with a number of CXC subjects but a below average performance in English can prevent them from pursuing further studies and even qualification for employment.
Applications for the Continuing Education Programme component of the Winston Williams Jr. Scholarship Award can be collected at the Lower Ottos Community Centre and should be returned by Friday September 9, 2011.
