PRE-LNDEPENDENCE TENNIS TOURNAMENT REVIEW Wednesday 17th November 2010
The Antigua & Barbuda Tennis Association in collaboration with Fedex hosted the first of what will be an annual event "The Pre-independence Tennis Tournament".
This is a level B tournament which includes adult players from the entire tennis fraternity across Antigua.
Peter Quinn was able to retain his #1 ranking after defeating Simon Butler 6-4, 3-6,5-1.
The fight for 3'd and 4th positions was Kelly Gordon defeating Mark Lane was held two(2) weekends 5-3,6-3..This tournament over coming to an end on Saturday 13th November,2010.
As tennis continues in Antigua to gain momentum the ABTA a ITF regional 2 Coaching Workshop .Workshop which spans two (2) weeks on Wednesday November and commences on Wednesday 17th of November, 2010. Workshop is aim at raising the bar in helping our regional to ably prepare our juniors for local, regional and international tournaments.
