5P'S TAME LIONS
Monday 25th October 2010

Defending Champions 5P’s started their bid toward the Championship as the 9th Annual CPTSA Female Football Tournament continued at the YASCO grounds on Saturday evening, October 23rd.
The 9th Annual CPTSA Female Football Tournament is sponsored by Hutchinson (Antigua)Ltd., and sanctioned by the Antigua/Barbuda Football Association.

In the first match of a triple header, 5P’s romped past the Villa Lions 3 goals to nil.
Jessica Hall slammed the first one past Villa custodian, Tichey Samuel, from the inside left flank, as early as 10 minutes into the first half to boost the 5P’s confidence.

5P’s Melissa Fletcher also steered one in early in the second half after a shot from Britney Jacobs ricochet on the western upright of the north goal. It was not too soon after that Jacobs, herself, cracked a straight right footer through a leaking Tichey Samuel to end 3—0.

5P’s had eleven (11) shots on goal while Villa Lions could hardly break their opponents defence with only three (3) chances.

This is the first win for 5P’s who also has a goalless draw against Police. Villa Lions will now add their first defeat to a one all draw against SAP.

5P’s play Ottos Tigress on Saturday, October 30, at 4:30 P.M, while Villa Lions will take on Empress at 7:00 P.M.
