ANTIGUA WELCOMES WAYNE AND OTHERS FROM TWAC16 Wednesday 8th February 2017
Nelson’s Dockyard has been buzzing with excitement recently with each team arrival for the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. These teams have rowed across the Atlantic from La Gomera in the Canary Islands, 3000nm miles away, here to Antigua – an incredible feat.
Since Latitude 35's record-breaking arrival on Jaunary 18th, we have welcomed quite a few teams. Recapping the last few arrivals: On February 3rd, we welcomed Antigua resident Wayne Johnson and Team Facing It, representing South Africa and raising funds for The Smile Foundation.

Following Team Facing It that evening was the pairs team Fresh Dental Challenge Atlantic. Team A-Adventures arrived on Sunday 5th February and the women’s team Atlantic Endeavour arrived last night, February 7th.
We here in Antigua are awaiting the arrivals of the remaining teams and are calling everyone in Antigua out to show support when they arrive. Still to come: Solo rower Elaine Hopley of Team Hopley, pairs team 32o North, and solo rower Daryl Farmer of Rowers Ark.
Track the remaining teams here. Get ETAs for each team as they come from the Atlantic Campaigns Facebook Page and come out to support!
