ATLANTIC CHALLENGE OVERALL WINNERS - SWISS RAW Tuesday 18th January 2022
We are happy to announce the overall winners of #TWAC2021. Team SWISS RAW who finished the World’s Toughest Row in a time of 34 days, 23 hours and 42 minutes!
Congratulations to Roman Möckli, Ingvar Groza, Jan Hurni, and Samuel Widmer - the first ever team from Switzerland to win the race.
Team Five in a Row crossed the #TWAC2021 finish line on Monday 17th January at 10:27 local time. Ian Baird, Duncan Hughes, Ross McKinney, Fraser Potter, and Clive Rooney. rowed the Atlantic Ocean in 36 days, 3 hours, and 33 minutes.
The team of five have rowed two hours on and two hours off every day. They’ve had the honour to see minke and pilot whales, a pod of dolphins, and even a shark!
Team Atlantic Flyers crossed the #TWAC2021 finish line on Monday 17th January at 07:58 local time. Phil Holdcroft, Si Berry, Sonny Roe, and Chris Carrington-Smith crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 36 days and 24 minutes. After a neck and neck battle with Team Five in a Row over the past few days, they pushed hard during the night to be the first over the finish line.
The team is raising money for the Starlight Childrens Foundation after the charity looked after Phil’s daughter.
