ANTIGUANS ONBOARD Tuesday 22nd February 2022
The RORC has begun with a few Antiguans are onboard several vessels. Here’s a look:
Caccia Al Volpe - All Antiguan crew helmed by 21 year old Rocco Falcone. The boat is the same boat that Carlo Falcone sailed over to Antigua.
The boat has just been refitted and on board with him are his sister Shirley Falcone, Louis Bavay, Maurices on Valentine, Oliver Smith (age 19 and the fleets youngest sailor), Jules Mitchell, and Joshua Daniels.
So Comanche - Shannon Falcone and Louis Sinclair, son of Nancy Nicholson owner of Rhythm of Blue.
Leopard - Boat has two young crew Daniel Smit, son of owners of Cloggy’s Café, Vanessa and Ton and Giles de Jager, son of canter de Jager, owners of Seagull Inflatables and Jane Midson owner of Jane’s Yacht Services.
Taz - Owned by Bernie Wong and the only boat in the fleet to have done all thirteen Caribbean 600’s.
Liquid - Antigua-based boat with Bernie’s Daughter Mei Ling Evan Wong.
Warrior - Onboard will be Tristan Louwrens (son of Julie Louwrens of Rush Jewellery).
