HANDS UP FOUNDATION GIVES CHURCH YOUTH MINISTRY TECHNOLOGICAL BOOST

The Development Ministry at the Kings Assemblies’ Church on Monday afternoon received a gift of a laptop computer to aid in the strengthening of the Youth Ministry’s Program of homework’s and projects completion.  .
 
Senator Malaka Parker made the donation on the behalf of Hands up Foundation. Three (3) –year-old Carl Aikin Jr., flanked by other children of the Kings Assemblies Youth Minister and Pastor Upert Murray, received the computer from Senator Parker.


 
During the brief handover process, Senator Parker urged the students to maximize the use of the computer and place value on the outreach programme that your church is doing through this exercise.

She stressed that “I am particularly moved that Kings Assemblies would impact our children in such as way. But, we all need the resources. I expect that within the next year or two that the ministry will grow far beyond these halls and the amount of children benefitting from this project will multiply.”

Pastor Upert Murray thanked Senator Parker for the technological boost and assistance twards in bridging the social gaps, and the platform given towards changing the generations.

Pastor Murray indicated that it is of great substance to “Invest in the youths, I am want the youths to value the efforts.  This is the ability to get deep into the generations of Antigua & Barbuda, and to merge our efforts with the short term vision and long term vision of the Senator Parker.”   Adding, that the program in the church, specialize in the youths, and emphasized outreach the various spheres of the communities.
More than 50 Children are currently benefitting from the Development Ministry’s program.

The church has already acquired two computers for this process.
