INSANE BOOT CAMP CONTINUES TO GIVE
Monday 24th September 2012
Capt. Lenroy Browne founder of Insane Boot Camp handing over cheque to Curtis Ryan Vice President of ABACA.

Ask any of the Insane Boot Campers about their walk on Sunday 16, September from Sandals Grande to Long Bay and their response would be: “EASY DAY”.

There’s a reason why we are called “Insane Boot Camp”. We fear no challenge thrown at us and we are always ready to walk especially in support of charity and our community. So when the Antigua & Barbuda Amateur Cycling Association (ABACA) challenged us to take part in their charity fun ride from Sandals Grande to Long Bay, we responded, “Why ride when you can walk?”

And indeed that is what we did.

The Antigua & Barbuda Amateur Cycling Association (ABACA) in conjunction with Sandals Grande Resort hosted a fun ride on Sunday 16, September with proceeds going towards the construction of Willikies Primary School cafeteria.   Instead of riding the Insane Boot Campers laced up our sneakers and took the challenge via foot – one step at a time. The trek from Sandals Grande Antigua to Long Bay is just under 20 miles and with our usual “insane” smiles and enthusiasm the Insane Boot Campers chewed up the asphalt and completed the walk in 3 ½ hours.

The boot campers were applauded by both cyclists and spectators on their endurance and motivation and many now understand why we’re known as “Insane”.

IBC again feels very privileged and proud to have partnered on this charity venture with ABACA and Sandals Grande contributing $1,000.00EC and we look forward to a continued partnership.
So look out for us as we accept more challenges on our journey to fitness.
