ANTIGUA & BARBUDA HOTELS & TOURISM ASSOCIATION

The Antigua & Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) is pleased to announce that the newly constituted Board of Directors held its first sitting on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. In keeping with the By-Laws of the Association, three vacant Board seats required appointment and confirmation through a vote by the sitting Directors.

Following a successful voting process, the ABHTA is pleased to welcome the following individuals who have been duly elected to complete the composition of the Board of Directors:

• Yanik Senhouse – Geo. W. Bennett Bryson & Co. Ltd
• Michelle Seaforth – Mill Reef Club
• Neil Keeling – The Rendezvous Company

During the inaugural meeting, the Board began laying the foundation for a series of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening advocacy and advancing the interests of the tourism sector. Key among these plans is the establishment of dedicated advocacy groups focused on:

• Union Negotiations
• Transportation and Tours
• Restaurants
• Villas and Guesthouses
• Cruise & Retail
• People and Culture

In addition to advocacy, the Board discussed several pressing matters including the evaluation of occupancy trends across the sector, ongoing union negotiations, opportunities related to Antigua Sailing Week, the development of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) market, and the formulation of a wellness action plan to support industry professionals.

The meeting also reviewed upcoming events and initiatives led by the ABHTA, including:

• ABHTA Hospitality Job Fair
• Industry Training Opportunities
• Taste of the Caribbean
• Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Gala Awards
