July 8, 2019: St. John’s Antigua and Barbuda: The Antigua Hotels and Tourist Association (AHTA) has today announced the launch of scholarship opportunities for aspiring Hospitality professionals to have their education fully funded to attend the Antigua and Barbuda Hospitality Training Institute (ABHTI).  

Persons who are currently working, or interested in having a career in the Hospitality Industry can apply for a scholarship in Resort Management, Hospitality Management or Tourism Management with a two-year Associate Degree Programme.

“The AHTA is proud to award students eager to make a contribution to the Hospitality Industry. For individuals who are uncertain about their career path, please think very seriously about entering the industry. The career options are varied and open for you to grow and reach to the very top levels of Management” remarked Vernon A. Jeffers, Sr, Chairman of the AHTA and General Manager at Sugar Ridge Resort.

Each application must include:
(i)            1000 words Essay on “What Tourism Means to me”
(ii)           2 Passport sized photos
(iii)          Bio Introduction and Resume
(iv)          Proof of Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship
(v)           5 CXC certification passes to include Math and English Language

The deadline for Application is August 9, 2019.
