ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA MANGO FESTIVAL

Winners and judges of the 2014 Mango Pineapple Culinary Cook off competition, held at the Mango Festival in Christian Valley over the weekend

First place went to Lemuel Duberry, second place to Gregory Williams, and third place was awarded to Micheal Anthony. All three winning chefs hail from Carmichaels Restaurant at Sugar Ridge Hotel.

The winning Dish was BBQ Duck, stuffed with pineapple sweet potato, braised with baby gem lettuce, prepared by Mr Duberry.

Trophies, Medals and gifts were provided by Courts Ltd and the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Fisheries and Barbuda Affairs, and were presented to the winners by Her Excellency Dame Louise Lake Tack and Hon. Arthur Nibbs.

Overall this year's mango festival saw an increase in attendance and the committee would like to thank all the sponsors and visitors for their support.
