ADVERTISERS, SPONSORS COMMITTING FOR ANTIGUA CLASSIC YACHT REGATTA Tuesday 9th August 2011
FALMOUTH HARBOUR Antigua -- Advertisers and sponsors are already committing their support for the 25th annual Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta which runs from April 19 to 24, 2012, and many of the magnificent classic yachts from Europe, the U.S., Australia and the Caribbean Islands have also indicated their intention to participate in what is expected to be the most magnificent classic regatta in the Western Atlantic.
The ACYR Planning Committee has announced that it will publish an enlarged 64-page commemorative edition programme in honor of the 25th annual Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, with abundant color photographs from previous regattas as well as dockside images of participating yachts. The Regatta is sponsored by the fine Italian timepiece company, Panerai, and will serve as the springboard for the other nine classic yacht regattas sponsored by Panerai in North America and Europe.
Shoreside activities during the 25th Regatta will also be enhanced with new activities as well as old stand-bys, including the State of Maine Sail Party with lobster bisque, the Concours d'Elegance competition sponsored by the Lunenburg Shipyard Alliance, the popular Single-handed Race, and a host of social events at the Antigua Yacht Club, the official host of the event.
Participating yachts may register via the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta website or at the Regatta Registration Office on Tuesday, April 17 and Wednesday, April 18.
