NEW ENTRIES FOR ANTIGUA CLASSICS Monday 3rd December 2018
We welcome back the beautiful 67’ topsail schooner MARIE DES ISLES to the 2019 Classics. This particular design, by visionary French naval architect and artist Daniel Bombigher, was intended as a home for long sea voyages, and inspired by the American schooners of the 19th Century; it is known as the “Gran’ Shpountz” from a French archaic term meaning “at one with nature”. Built in France 1973, she first took part in the Antigua Classics in 2011 and will participate again next year under new ownership.

A colourful new entry for the 2019 Antigua Classics - 31’ Marconi yawl DRIFT - a 1952 Robert G Henry design, rebuilt in 1963. We are now expecting a good number of yachts for next year so it's already promising to be an excellent Regatta!
