CARLO FALCONE APPOINTED NEW CHAIRMAN OF ANTIGUA CLASSICS Thursday 8th November 2018
Falcone, who settled in Antigua in 1984, has contributed actively over the years in making the Antigua Yacht Club the success it is today as well as regularly participating in its two most important regattas: the Antigua Classics, with his vintage 1938 Mylne-design Fife-built yawl MARIELLA, also regarded as the Regatta’s flagship, and in Antigua Sailing Week, with CACCIA ALLA VOLPE. A very experienced and highly competitive yachtsman (his son Shannon is a former America’s Cup sailor), he is introducing exciting new changes into the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, now in its fourth decade. Cameron Fraser, owner of the 1946 Kettenburg-design sloop JANLEY, is the new Vice Chairman.
