ANTIGUA CLASSIC YACHT REGATTA

We are delighted to announce this new partnership with WoodenBoat Magazine. Our mutual love of wooden boats, particularly the vintage and classic yachts, which in our case make up the majority of our participants, and our shared interest in promoting the design, building, restoration and conservation of these beautiful vessels makes this association a match made in heaven. WoodenBoat is an American magazine and as many of our participants also take part in various North American Regattas, this yet another good reason for our collaboration. Classic Boat Magazine, a UK publication and already a media partner of the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, is highly popular in the United Kingdom and much of Europe: with both these illustrious publications on board, we couldn’t be better covered…

Each of these magazines is also considering offering their own trophy. At our 31st Regatta, Rob Peake, Editor of Classic Boat Magazine, was one of the judges at our Concours d’Elégance and we hope he will continue this role in 2019 when Andrew Breece, Editor of WoodenBoat Magazine, has agreed to become one too. The Concours is sponsored by the esteemed Herreshoff Marine Museum, headed by Executive Director Bill Lynn.
