ASW - MEDIA ACCREDITATION AND INFORMATION Friday 15th April 2016
The 49th Antigua Sailing Week will soon be here and we look forward to welcoming accredited media to the event and a full week of racing starting on Saturday April 23 and concluding on Friday, April 29.
If you are attending this year, we look forward to seeing you soon. If you are unable to be there in person, but wish to receive daily updates, please see the information below. You will need to registered online in order to get a press pass and/or daily reports and media information regarding video and photos:-

Media Centre:
The Antigua Sailing Week Media Centre will be located in a suite at Antigua Yacht Club Marina Resort,
Falmouth Harbour. From the front entrance of the hotel turn right and the Media Centre will be clearly signposted on the left. You will be issued with a media pass and press information. The facility is for use by accredited media only. Registration will be open from Friday 22nd April - 10am to 5pm.
The Media Centre will be open daily from 8.30am to 6pm from Friday 22nd April to Friday 29th April. A wifi internet connection will be provided and we look forward to welcoming you to the air-conditioned facility.
NB: Media passes do not give access to Tuesday night's big party night at Nelson's Dockyard.
Press Boat:
A press boat will be going out to watch the racing and is available for accredited media who have registered with the Media Centre.
Please make it clear when registering which days you would like to be considered for a space on the boat.
NB: There is no press boat on Wednesday 29th as it is the Presidente Lay Day beach party featuring the Nonsuch Bay RS Elite Challenge at Pigeon Beach from midday (racing starts 1 pm).
Press boat 4 days:
Sunday 24th - Race day 1
Monday 25th - Race day 2
Tuesday 26th - Race day 3
Still to be confirmed:
Thursday 28th - Race day 4- half day + Friday 29th - Race day 5 - half day
Priority will be given to media with confirmed assignments and places distributed fairly throughout the period of the regatta to allow everyone a chance to get out on the water.
Bookings must be made with the Press Officer in the Media Centre and re-confirmed the day before, when details of timings etc will be given.
A Chance to Race:
We will also do our best to accommodate your requirements to race on board a yacht during the regatta. Please let us know in advance of your requirements and if you would like any help with contacting suitable boats:

Daily Race Reports:
Louay Habib will be writing our daily race reports and these will be sent out to accredited media and a worldwide press list.
VIDEO + VNR FOR BROADCASTERS:
Digby Fox, Roddy Grimes-Graeme, Robin Sinclair Johnstone and his team at Acquafilms (roddy@acquafilms.com) will be filming throughout the regatta.
Video will be uploaded to YouTube and embed codes will be available for insertion into websites.
Daily round up reports will be distributed via YouTube and to our mailing list.
VNR - FTP Site: Broadcasters will also be given access to footage on our FTP server.

Photographs:
Paul Wyeth (pwpictures.com) will be out on the water taking his usual superb shots of the racing action.
Low resolution images will be loaded daily onto the website photo gallery and copyright free, high resolution images for editorial use will be available on request from the Press Officer.
