ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK SCHOOL ART COMPETITION Wednesday 18th March 2015
It is that time of year again! Antigua Sailing Week invites school children age 5 – 18 years to enter its Annual Art Competition. The competition will run from Monday 16th March - 17th April 2015.
This year’s competition is open to all interpretations that capture the spirit of Antigua Sailing Week. The words “Antigua Sailing Week” must be included as part of the artwork. Please remember that your writing is art as well, so try to make the text artistic. The painting must include an environmental message about keeping Antigua clean and green.
All pieces submitted will be judged on originality and the overall artistic quality of the work. All art mediums will be considered: paintings, drawings, oil, acrylic and ink—to name a few.
Although we encourage the students to be creative, we ask that media that can transfer, be easily wiped off or soil other entries be limited. This would include the use of glitter, chalk and sand.
Prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in three age categories (Lower Junior 5-9, Upper Junior 10-14 and Senior 15-18).
