Talks for the sponsorship began last summer when Chairman of Antigua Sailing Week's Regatta Organising Committee Kathy Lammers met with sponsors of the Hampton's Challenge Neal Simon, President and Co-Founder of AUA College of Medicine; Dick Woodward, Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management & COO of AUA College of Medicine; and Basil Stuart, AUA College of Medicine Vice President for Administrative Services & Community Affairs.
"We hope our support of Antigua Sailing Week will positively contribute to an event that continues to deliver excellent international media coverage and increased investment and visitors to our twin island nation," said Mr. Stuart.
Founded in 2004, AUA College of Medicine currently has approximately 1,300 students at its more than 27 acre, high-tech campus in Antigua and employs over 175 Antiguan citizens. The medical school continues to upgrade its infrastructural and technological services to meet the demands of the changing education landscape and to respond to increasing enrolment each year.
