ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK 2013 Thursday 4th April 2013
Dear Skippers and Crew, friends and party goers,
We do hope that since you last visited us at Antigua Sailing Week, life has been good and racing has been competitive.
With just under a month to go it's time to remind you of some key dates and let you in on some of the new things planned during Antigua Sailing Week 2013.
At Antigua Sailing Week we keep telling you, Where Sailing Comes First and this year is no exception. If you haven't had time to go through the details yet check out all of the information on Antigua Sailing Week including the provisional Sailing Instructions and the Notice of Race. The racing takes place from Sunday 28th April to Friday May 3rd, with one days break for Lay Day.
If you are heading up island to join in Antigua Sailing Week don't forget there is always the option of entering the Guadeloupe to Antigua Race which takes place on Friday 26th April. A party the night before in Deshaies will ensure you get to enjoy some famous French hospitality before the beautiful sail over to Antigua. The Guadeloupe to Antigua Race record has been held by Mari-Cha IV since 2004.
Then on Saturday 27th April there is the option to take part in the Yachting World Round Antigua Race. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy some stiff competition, use the race as a practice race in readiness for the week ahead, and challenge the existing elapsed time record held by the Farr-designed 115-foot Sojana.
You can enter any of the races and check out the 90 boats already entered for this years event right here: https://regattaguru.com/asw/minisite?series_id=10#News

The day’s activities will kick off at midday and racing will start at 1 pm. Eight skippers and their teams will compete to win a week’s stay at Nonsuch Bay Resort for two people.
Party Party....................
We will again be holding post race Daily Prize Givings' on the lawn at the Antigua Yacht Club following each day's racing. Cold beers, rum punch, cold Champagne and a full bar will be ready each afternoon along with light bites (and of course a full menu inside Cloggy's for the truly ravenous).
The best of live bands and DJ's from around Antigua will provide the weeks entertainment and of course the bars and restaurants throughout English Harbour and the Wadadli Grill in Abracadabra Car Park will be open all week ready to serve you dinner each evening.
