It is three years since the last Reggae In The Park and the fans came out in their numbers to dance and sing along under the stars in historic dockyard and Alison Sly-Adams, President of Antigua Sailing Week (ASW) was delighted by the response: “It is fantastic to see so many reggae fans after a three-year hiatus, there is something special about this event that brings out the best in the performers”.
The Experience Lounge brought to the audience by the Ministry of Tourism, CIU and INET was sold out and offered its guests a great platform to watch the performers, “The atmosphere was incredible, everyone came out to celebrate including many racing crews as well as locals.”, stated Rana Lewis, Event Manager, ASW. Lewis added that the show’s success was due to many partners working together: “I must thank the Minister of Tourism, our sponsors, the event team at Nelson’s Dockyard, the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, Antigua Barbuda Defence Force, EMS, Transport Board, private security teams, the promoters, and our volunteers for their support and hard work behind the scenes to make this show the marquee onshore event.”
