SUBMISSION DATE FOR ASW & HARPER'S SCHOOL ART CONTEST Thursday 29th October 2020
Antigua Sailing Week would like to remind the general public that there is 1 week left to submit artwork for participation in the 2020 Harpers School Art Competition. The deadline had been extended from its original April date to Friday 6th November, 2020.
All parents, teachers, tutors and responsible adults are asked to submit their child's artwork to any Harpers Office Depot location or the Antigua Sailing Week office. Please note that the Antigua Sailing Week office has relocated to the premises of the National Sailing Academy in English Harbour. Call 725-6651 for more information.

The competition, open to Antiguan school aged children for decades, is extending its submission deadline to Friday November 6, 2020.
This year, students were asked to think about how they can be better stewards of the environment - caring for our water ways, beaches, communities, schools and our neighbourhoods. The full brief can be found on the Antigua Sailing Week website.

Marketing Manager Rana Lewis says “While we appreciate that many students have already started and may have completed their artwork, we are encouraging those who have not had a chance, to now take the opportunity to create something during the upcoming summer holiday. We encourage parents to actively engage with their children to complete the assignment.”
The announcement of the annual winner of the Harper’s School Art Competition prior to Antigua Sailing Week has always been a proud moment for the young artists and their families. The change in date will allow the winning piece of artwork to benefit from longer exposure as the official welcome signboard into the English Harbour area by being displayed from December right through to Antigua Sailing Week each year.
