THIRD ANNUAL ANTIGUA DOG SHOW AT THE SPRING HILL RIDING CLUB Friday 6th January 2012
The new year kicks off with the announcement that the Third Annual Antigua Dog Show will take place Sunday February 5 at the Springhill Riding Stables, Falmouth.
The event organizers invite everyone to come out and support the dog show, whether you have a dog or not. Event chairman Janie Easten said “last year’s event was a huge success, drawing over 300 people. This year, by popular demand we are including in the show The K-9 Café that will serve local food and drinks. It will give non- dog owners a place to sit back relax and watch the fun”.
Pedigree (Hutchinson Antigua Lts.) will also have a hospitality suite for dogs complete with water bowls and biscuits.
Some of the competitions include Best Retriever, Fancy Dress, Most like Owner, Best Trick, Friendliest Dog as well as an Agility Course (obstacle race) and many more. There is a $5 EC entry fee for all classes. Pedigree’s Best of Show is awarded to the dog with the most points awarded from all the classes. The highlight of the event will surely be the Fancy Dress segment where owners and dogs alike can dress up and play out Halloween in Antigua
There is fun for the whole family with pony rides, face painting and children's activities.
The Dog Show is being held at the Springhill Riding Stables, Falmouth. It starts at 1:00 – 6:00 pm and it is being sponsored by PEDIGREE (Hutchinsons Antigua Ltd), one of the most respected names in dog food. PEDIGREE will be on hand with plenty of prizes for all the winners.
Where else can you go in Antigua that welcomes dogs? And so many of them. The Dog Show is an opportunity to bond and have fun with our four legged friends. All proceeds from the show will go to support the animals of Antigua.
Event organizers caution that although we have never had any dog fights we ask that all dogs must be on a lead at all times and under parental control. Click here for all News and Specials for Antigua Equestrian Centre - Springhill Riding Club
