This is your opportunity to play a greater role in shaping and promoting the activities of the EAG.
To be eligible to vote, you must be a financial member of the EAG. See our website for details on membership fees. If you cannot get to our office beforehand, membership fees can be paid on the same evening at the AGM.
May Guest Speaker--Lethal Yellowing, Giant African Snail
Our guest speaker series is back! Our Annual General Meeting will kick off with an informative discussion on two pests currently of great national concern--LETHAL YELLOWING and the GIANT AFRICAN SNAIL. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Janil Gore-Francis, Plant Protection chief in the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Housing and the Environment.
Come on Friday 10th May, at 6:30 pm to learn more about these two pests, their current status in Antigua & Barbuda, what efforts are being made to control them and options for the way forward. Don't miss it!
Volunteer with the EAG at Antigua Sailing Week
The EAG has joined forces with Antigua Sailing Week, National Parks Authority, Antigua and Barbuda Waste Recycling Corporation, Rubber Duck Recycling, National Solid Waste Management Authority, Themba Biofuels and Local Oils Limited to help make this annual regatta one of the most environmentally sensitive in the Caribbean.
Volunteers are needed to help man the EAG booth and to help with Lay Day activities for Antigua Sailing Week 2013. Our booth will be in operation from Saturday 27th April to Saturday 4th May. Come help us promote recycling at Antigua Sailing Week and draw attention to the projects and programmes of the EAG.
