ANTIGUA & BARBUDA SPORTS FISHING ASSOCIATION

The Best in the West fishing tournament, held under the Antigua & Barbuda Sport Fishing Association rules took place last weekend in Jolly Harbour at  “Doc’s Dock” attracted 24 boats which caught over 1800 lbs of fish.

Champion Boat was awarded to Vitamin B vessel weighing in 240 lbs of fish and the prize for most fish went to two vessels as there was a draw between "Miss Ashley" and Vitamin B" who both caught 8 fish each.

The Best in the West Tournament results are as follows:

• Largest Wahoo - Angler Theresa Hickson on vessel "Extreme"- 61lbs
• Largest Dolphin - Zoe Shoul on vessel "Miss Ashley" - 17 1/2 lb
• Largest King - Corey Wood on vessel "Scallywag" - 21 lbs
• Largest Fish Male angler - Corey Wood on vessel " Scallywag" - 52 3/4 lb wahoo
• Largest Fish by Female angler - Theresa Hickson on vessel " Extreme" - 61 1/2 lb wahoo
• Largest Fish by youth - Theresa Hickson 16 years old on vessel "Extreme" - 61 1/2 lb wahoo
• Champion Boat 25ft & under - vessel" Miss Marji" with 57 lbs fish
• Champion Boat Overall - vessel "Vitamin B" captain Mikey Pigott - 240 lbs
• Youngest Angler to catch a fish - Zachary Hollowchek - 7 years old
  
• Prize for most fish - tie between "Miss Ashley" and "Vitamin B" with 8 fish each
