ONDECK REPORTS BRISK DEMAND FOR ANTIGUA SAILING WEEK Friday 29th August 2014
Ondeck reports brisk demand for Antigua Sailing Week with three yachts already fully booked and a number of individuals booked on head boats. The great thing is that they are all repeat Ondeck and Antigua Sailing Week customers.
Spirit of Venus has been chartered by Susan Glenny and her all girl crew that participated last year. Martin Oldroyd and friends from Guernsey will be onboard another Beneteau 40.7 'Ortac' and Thomas Hawker and his team from Canada will be onboard the Santa Cruz 37. Peter Anthony, owner of Ondeck, says: 'It's a great testament to the draw that Antigua Sailing Week and Antigua hold for serious and fun racers and to the whole organisational team behind it who have done a tremendous job over the last few years.
'We still have plenty of whole yacht, small group and individual options available for sailors of all levels for Antigua Sailing Week, the RORC Caribbean 600 and all of the Caribbean regattas.'
Ondeck also still has Boatmaster course dates available. For those working in Antigua's marine industry there is an end of year deadline for obtaining the Boatmaster qualifications. Ondeck has successfully trained in excess of 60 Captains in Antigua but there are still a number yet to get their accreditation.
We are running Boatmaster theory and practical preparation courses along with the required STCW 10 Sea Survival, First Aid and Sea Survival plus Radio courses over September, October and November. Get in touch for further information.
