ANTIGUA CARNIVAL

To ensure a more enjoyable J'Ouvert for patrons, the celebration is taking a literal turn for the better. Instead of Vivian Richards Street being utilised as part of the route on Monday, August 6, all bands will assemble at the round-a-bout on Independence Drive from 3 am, take a right onto Redcliffe Street, turn right on Thames Street, then up High Street and back onto Independence Drive. The parade should disperse by 10 am.

On Tuesday, August 7, the Parade of Bands will start off on Market Street, turn left onto Newgate Street, then onto Popeshead Street, right to St John’s Street, onto Cross Street, left on High Street, onto Independence Drive and into Carnival City.

The last lap route will leave from the ARG at 6 pm, weaving its way onto Thames Street, left onto Redcliffe Street, left onto Independence Drive and continuing back down High Street.
